Today on The Real Estate Show we ask, “Are You Even Ready For A Real Estate Coach?” It seems like every other week there’s another new real estate guru popping up and coming into town in order to sell the latest, greatest, new real estate technique. The Silver Bullet or just another shiny object? There are no lack of gurus. No lack of mentors. Nor are there a lack of so called real estate coaches. But the question is Are You Even Ready For A Real Estate Coach? 

Let me start out by saying, no one is asking whether real estate works as an investment. That is a known fact. No one is asking whether investing in real estate works as an income stream. There is plenty of evidence about that working. And no one can say that real estate, as a career, doesn’t work. There are nearly 300,000 real estate licenses in Florida alone, over a million nationwide, many of them making a very good living just selling other people’s real estate. 

None of those points are the real question. 

So now you say you want a piece of the pie. You start surfing around on the Internet to realize that there is literally an ocean of articles, information and courses about real estate. You spend a few hours reading this method, then that method, then another one says this one is the newest best thing since sliced bread. After hours of reading, maybe even days or weeks or even months of researching, you’re even more overwhelmed than when you started. You start to think, maybe I should find someone to help me figure this out? But, Are You Even Ready For A Real Estate Coach? 

So you decide to go to the latest “in and out of town real estate seminar guy“ presentation at the local hotel. And he says the “He” is the answer! He shows you pictures of his fancy car, or of his big giant mansion on the ocean. He tells you how easy it was - if you just follow his simple 123 formula. And you begin to buy into the dream that he sells you at the hotel. Hmm, you think, that’s the answer! I’ll just give him my $25,000 - $50,000 and he’ll make me millions of dollars next month!

But the real question is… Are You Even Ready For A Real Estate Coach? 

The Real Estate Show is now past its 20th year anniversary. We have seen many gurus come and many gurus go. Very few have really lasted the test of time. Many of these so-called experts made most or all of their money selling courses, not real estate. Not us. We made our money doing deals and helping many many other investors do deals as well. We have made a lot of money and occasionally have lost money. That’s real life. That’s real business. We have the trophies, but we also have the scars. We’ve learned a lot over the years, and we share it openly on our show. For free! 

Good for you, Eric! You must have been born into a real estate family! Nope. We’ll then you inherited it. Nope. Then how did you learn? Lots of trial and error, lots of studying, observing, and a few good real estate coaches and mentors along the way. I have learned a lot over the 30 years that I have been in real estate, 20 of those publicly on the air on The Real Estate Show, America’s longest running daily show about real estate. We have helped many many people in real estate.
