Curb Appeal Begin with the outside of your house, also called your curb appeal. Look at the outside of your house from the view of a passerby. What do you notice first? What positive features seem waiting to be noticed? Acknowledging this helps us to choose what actions we can take to attract buyers from the street and into your home. If your home isn't at its best on the outside with touched up paint and bright greenery we'll need to address those as well. Follow the Curb Appeal Checklist and add dollars to your house's final selling price.

Make yourself at home...
Does your house seem to say, "This is Your New Home" to a buyer? Looking through your home with a buyer's eye, I'll advise you of adjustments that enhance market appeal. I'll advise you take away pieces that give the illusion of clutter. Tabletops should be clutter-free. Arts and crafts, souvenirs, family photos, and play time drawings should get stored away too. I can help you simplify the decor of house. Less than inviting or messy places make your home look less spacious and buyers have a more difficult time seeing themselves calling your property "home".
I know exactly what a room's best features are and how to show them off. Changes that directly impact your sale price include easy-to-fix items like pieces of furniture that should be removed, rooms that need fresh paint, carpet that needs to be steamed, fixtures that need polishing, and windows that need cleaning.
I'll make sure your home has mass appeal and that it's welcoming, staying away from "loud" or "too-bright" shades on the walls and furniture. And if the house is empty, you can try renting furnishings. You want your house to look lived in as opposed to barren.

Setting the Stage At every showing, we're doing well if we're engaging the buyer's senses. Dark living areas can really dampen a buyer's spirits, so we'll do things like open curtains and create light where needed to welcome the buyer. Together we'll enhance the mood of the house with enjoyable music to listen to while guests experience your home and make sure a delightful aroma circulates throughout your home. We'll incorporate cozy-looking throws, and throw pillows on your couch and bed. We want buyers to feel like your home is their future home. |
