This week is the 15th of April, and you know what that means? It's Financial Literacy Month! This is a dedicated time to focus on financial education and empowering individuals to make informed financial decisions. We believe financial literacy is crucial for real estate success!

In important financial news: The Federal Reserve met recently and after their initial statement have adjusted their stance on the current economic climate.

Here's a quick breakdown:

  • Economy: The US economy is chugging along with good job growth and low unemployment, but inflation remains a concern, though it has eased slightly from last year.
  • Fed Goals: The Fed aims to maintain low unemployment and stable inflation around 2%. They acknowledge achieving these goals may take longer than previously anticipated.
  • Interest Rates: The Fed decided to KEEP interest rates the same (between 5.25% and 5.5%). They'll monitor economic data and might adjust them if inflation doesn't steadily decrease towards their target.
  • Reducing Bond Holdings: The Fed continues to reduce their holdings of government and mortgage-backed bonds, as previously planned.
  • Future Actions: They'll closely monitor economic data and adjust policies as needed to reach their goals of stable prices and low unemployment.
